Tenet a été censuré par Warner pour son exploitation au Royaume-Uni

On apprend que Tenet, le nouveau thriller de science-fiction de Christopher Nolan avec John David Washington, Robert Pattinson et Elizabeth Debicki, qui sortira en France le 26 août 2020, a été interdit aux moins de 12 ans par le British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) pour son exploitation au Royaume-Uni.

Une version censurée par Warner après une projection organisée devant les membres du BBFC durant la post-production, afin que le film ne soit pas interdit aux mineurs de 15 ans en raison d’une scène durant laquelle un homme donne des coups de pieds à une femme :

« During post-production, the distributor sought and was given advice on how to secure the desired classification. Following this advice, certain changes were made prior to submission This film was originally seen for advice. The company was advised it was likely to be classified 15 uncut but that their preferred 12A classification could be obtained by making small changes to one scene to remove shots of a man kicking a woman. When the film was submitted for formal classification, the shots in question had been removed and the film was classified 12A. »

Déconseillé aux moins de 13 ans aux États-Unis, Tenet a été classé pour tous publics en France.
